Our Mission
At SnapTight Products, our mission is to revolutionize the construction industry by providing innovative and high-performance insulated building products. We are dedicated to delivering superior thermal efficiency, durability, and sustainability in every solution we offer. Through relentless innovation and a commitment to quality, we aim to empower builders and homeowners alike to create energy-efficient, comfortable, and environmentally responsible spaces. At the heart of our mission lies a passion for excellence and a drive to exceed expectations, ensuring that SnapTight Products remains the preferred choice for insulated building solutions nationwide.
Sustainability Efforts
Core Philosophy & Product Strategy-At SnapTight Products, sustainability is woven into every stage—from manufacturing through installation. We engineer high-performance insulated building systems that significantly reduce energy usage over the life of a building. Our emphasis on thermal efficiency means less heating and cooling demand, lowering a building’s operational carbon footprint. We optimize our factory processes to minimize waste. CNC cutting is carefully organized to reduce scrap, and leftover EPS foam is reground and reused in insulation, packing, or even as foamed concrete filler, which actually improves insulation performance (adding about one R‑value per inch).
Manufacturing & Material Circularity-Zero-waste prefabrication: By refining material layouts, offcuts are drastically reduced. Material recycling: EPS scrap is reclaimed and reincorporated into new products, or transformed into concrete filler, deepening the circularity of our processes and redirecting waste from landfills.
Site-Level Practices Supporting Carbon Neutrality-Our approach advances key principles tied to carbon-neutral construction: Embodied carbon reduction via lightweight insulated panels and forms that displace higher‑carbon materials like steel. Energy-efficient designs delivered on-site through insulated systems ensuring immediate thermal performance. Waste management practices carried from factory to construction site, minimizing site-generated waste.
Community Endeavors
At SnapTight Products we believe in giving back to our community in meaningful ways. One of the avenues through which we accomplish this is by actively participating in events like the Construction Combine. This initiative brings together volunteers and professionals alike to construct sheds, which are then donated to veterans in need. Together, through collaborative efforts like these, we are able to create tangible benefits for those who have served our country while strengthening the bonds that make our community thrive. We are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.

How SnapTight Products Positively Impacts Our Community
1. Supporting Local Jobs & Trades
We manufacture our products locally, providing steady employment for skilled tradespeople, veterans, and craftsmen in our community. By building our systems in-house, we keep jobs close to home and help sustain the construction and fabrication economy.
2. Empowering Builders with Smarter Tools
Our systems—like the Done Wall and FasTrax—are designed to make building faster, easier, and more efficient. This empowers small contractors, independent builders, and DIYers to take on projects with confidence, even with limited crews or resources. We’re helping level the playing field for hardworking builders everywhere.
3. Reducing Waste in Local Landfills
We reclaim and reuse our EPS foam scrap, keeping tons of material out of local landfills and turning it into valuable building insulation or concrete filler. It’s not just good for the environment—it keeps our community cleaner and sets a standard for responsible manufacturing.
4. Promoting Veteran-Owned Small Business Values
As a veteran-owned business, we operate with a deep respect for service, accountability, and resilience. These values influence how we hire, how we give back, and how we treat our customers and community partners.
5. Education & Outreach
We engage with local schools, trade programs, and vocational training efforts to raise awareness about careers in construction and sustainable building practices. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of builders while teaching the value of innovation and environmental responsibility.

Meet Bob: Your Expert in Custom Construction
Bob’s passion for construction began at a young age, building homes along the picturesque shores of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. After proudly serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he returned to the work he loved—creating homes and spaces that last. In 1991, Bob founded Western Design Construction, which quickly earned a reputation as one of Southeast Idaho’s premier custom home builders. With over 41 years of hands-on experience in construction and design, Bob continues to personally lead each project, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. His portfolio spans everything from remodels and residential builds to large-scale commercial projects—typically completing 10 to 20 custom homes per year along with multiple commercial developments. Bob’s leadership extends beyond the job site. A longtime member of the Builders Contractors Association of Southeast Idaho, he’s served in multiple roles, including President, Vice President, and Parade of Homes Chairman. He’s also contributed his expertise to community planning as a former Master Builder and through service on the Bannock County Land Use Commission and the Sewer Task Force Committee. As a proud veteran and a licensed General Contractor in the State of Idaho, Bob brings integrity, skill, and purpose to everything he builds.
